This is astounding work! I really like paintings of ruins, as they make your imagination run wild with different questions. This one, I feel like, especially so. Who is the man walking down the slope near the back? Is he just a tourist, or is he an adventurer trying to find a long-forgotten treasure? One thing I think could be improved is the ivy. Since it is clear that this place has been abandoned probably for hundreds of years, as is shown by the large trees and broken down architecture, it would seem like it should have grown larger and taken up more space by now. Maybe make the area that the leaves take up wider, more like a hanging cloth than a hanging thread. I am also rather interested in how you got that effect of the clearly-defined edges in the fallen stone blocks, did you use a bevel modifier?

Glad you like it!
The man is an adventurer! He adventures things with hopes of lost treasure :v
Yeah. Now that I look back on it, alot of things could have been improved on this. The level of detail is wacked and is higher in some areas than in others (which can be a good thing if done right). Defiantly needed more nature esk things to show the overgrowth.
I just beveled the edges of the stone bricks.

Nice use of depth of field. It looks like some thought went into the composition. I like the individual leaves on the ivy, and the figure gives a good idea of scale. The only change I would make is to add a bit of a vignette to the corners. I like it, great job.
You got my vote for the /r/low_poly contest. I look forward to seeing more.

Thanks for the kind words! There is a bit of a vignette but I guess its not that visible.
Thanks for the vote!

I'm a big fan of low poly art. Could I pick your brain about this?

ok why did you decide to give the ivy individual leaves and the trees a mesh?

Because it's a stylization, tree look bushy while ivy you can see each leaf pretty clearly. I enhanced those traits so now the tree has a bushy polygon blob and the ivy has detailed visible leaves.

Grade 12 is busier than expected. Plus I'm trying to get out of lowpoly art and moving to more realistic art.
Im not available to do any commissioned 3d work.

It did take longer then the usual stuff I post. I spent about 5 to 6 hours on that scene.
