Description
A simple wallpaper I made portraying the fall of Anakin Skywalker and the redemption of Darth Vader. Ironic that Anakin fell to the Dark Side for love of his wife, yet he returned to the Light Side for love of his son. Ah, I love Star Wars.
The resolution is 1280x854 (15" Powerbook resolution). Let me know if you want something different.

All Anakin had to do was leave the Jedi order with Padme since Yoda was no helpΒ (cause all he said was to let go of what he fears to loose) and live a better life with her on NabooΒ

I love Anakin so much.<3 After he was encased in his suit, he found out that Padme was dead. It puzzles me why he stayed with the Dark Side because at that point he knew that there was no bringing her back. She was already gone. But hey, I can't change the movie. I'm just glad he died a Jedi.<3

there was nothing left for him. he pretty much states that he despises himself for what he's become during his talk with luke on the endor moon

That scene was really sad; he basically said that he was a slave to his master and that he wants to change and break free but he couldn't. Plus, there's a theory that his self-hatred was what enslaved him to the dark side and the Emperor. This actually makes sense because right before he died he longer hated himself and saw himself the way Luke saw him, which was when he was finally set free. Anakin also struggles with self-hatred almost his whole life and the more he hates himself, the darker he became. It's also a very powerful message because it shows just how destructive self-hatred is.

I personally think its not so much ironic as it is deep. He saves Luke because Luke's no only his son, but Padme's as well.

I did, but it was since removed from my gallery, as was about a couple dozen other deviations (long story short, someone felt that they were all policy violations when they really weren't). Many of my uploads in the near future may seem like repeats; bear with me here.

Thanks; I have my files backed up, so I'm ok, and the iPod ads were strangely left intact. I just have to reupload a lot of them and rewrite their descriptions. It's a pain in the ass but I wanna get it done before I start Star Wars iPods, round 2.
