Meld armor from Alien XCOM? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you mean the armor designs of gene-modded soldiers from XCOM: Enemy Within, because I don't know of any Meld armor in any of the XCOM games, past or present.

Obvious comment is obvious, although I find Enemy Within, which fundamentally changes the gameplay as opposed to tacking on a few additions, to be a full-fledged expansion rather than simple DLC (never mind that it can be bought on disc as well).
That's a MEC (Mechanically Enhanced Cybernetic) suit, and those are less like actual suits of armor and more like mini-mecha.
