Me and talked today abotu styles and some difficulties of drawing. So I...kinda showed her .. i dont even know why, how to make simple styled things...

And it became bigger than i expected, becasue it was funny.

I simply took one of my old drawing, simple drawing with stick-like chibies and..made a "how to do it" kind of drawing.

It's not like anyone will be using it as guidelines, since you don't need to really. Too easy to draw (at least for me).

Anyway:

0. Here is ther drawing I took. It's cca 3 heads tall stickchibi. So I started with this and made a model.

1. Here I drew eyes and mouth, cca in middle of the head. Becasue chibies just have different head anathomy than usual heads.

2. Now, here is the part where you determine if you want your drawing to be round / sketchey / simpleish or different.
You draw the shape of the head according to that.

3. Now, here goes the neck and body. It's better to neep in mind how you want the whole stickchibi to look like...and ofc, you should keep in mind that it should suit to the style of the head too.

4. Do the hands and legs. They should be the same as the neck, so it doesn't look out of place.
AKA: If the head and body and neck is boxey, then the hands should be the same.
If it's curvy, so should the limbs.
If the neck is just a line, then why the fuck not to make it more stick like?
And if it's round, then chubby and round.

5. Add some details, if you want, but it's better to do so.

6. Color. Styles of coloring also affect the whole work.

Maybe you didnt notice earlier, but I was drawing the same character the whole time. Same hair, same clothes, now even the same colors. They still look different.
It's the thickness of the lines, shapes of the body, details to suit different style, and also the coloring.
I named them, even if they are the same as following:
Box (she is thick-lined, sharp, boxy, and has non-shaded vivid color)
Flower (she is sketchy, has lighter colors and the shading is just hatching to go with the sketchy part).
Blackie (simple, black, cute, but still a bit creepy, maybe cuz f the contrast)
Round (because she is round, the shading makes it even more round).

7. Use your imagination, there is countless of shapes and emotions you can use for the eyes. From a few different ways to make a round circled eyes (from big to small, blank and black)..to even more countless shapes for anime eyes you can use.

The same goes for hands and legs, you can draw jsut anything you like.

Use necks or not use necks, make them part of the body or just a simple lines. Imagination!

The same applies to body type. You can draw any shape you want.

Same for the heads. It doesn't matter if it's impossible real-life...it's freaking stick-chibi you are drawing.

Hair you can make just as drawing on the ead, or jsut a simple as if plasted on the head, or you can use different styles to draw more real-like looking hair.

for ears i suppose there is not much you can draw...but oyu can always think up non-human ears.

As for side view...keep in mind what kind of shape does your character have when from front view.
