The Lexington was unable to catch the pirate cruiser off guard, even with the stealth systems. However, her crew had trained for this and adapted quickly.
Phaser and disruptor fire battered at the shields of both ships, each looking to land that lucky torpedo that ends the fight. As the fight raged, the freighter escaped the pirate's tractor beam and accelerated away so quickly that the engines may have taken damage from the stress.
The Lexington, though victorious, had to limp to rendezvous with the USS Albion and be towed to the nearest starbase for repairs.
For their anti-piracy efforts, the Lexington and her crew were personally commended by Admiral Ross. Immediately after the Lexington's repairs were complete, the Ambassador signaled that its taskforce had been properly relieved by the USS Galaxy's.
