This is from about a year ago, when I first saw Princess Mononoke... and thought to myself as it ended, "How would the courting process between Ashitaka and San go...? O____o " And ended up drawing this. XD They look like clothespins. <3Related content

Hmm... I'd always guessed somewhere between 15-18? Miyazaki movies don't generally star adult characters, so I don't think they're older than that, but they seem old than his usual character (young teens), so I'd say they're not under 15. I'm not sure, though!
