It is done, finally...I have spent the last 2 or 3 hours repainting the nebula as the quality was pretty bad. The version before this was at 72 DPI, this is at 300...---
Photomanipulation based nebula, with a total of around 3 1/2 hours painting with my mouse. Made in Photoshop, the stocks were taken by me, and I didn't use tutorials for any of it, although around 3 months ago I did look at the tutorial by `dinyctis , which gave me the idea to use inner and outer glows and Spherize, which is pretty much all you need to know to make a bad ass planet.

I hope you guys like this as much as I do, I'm getting a 4 x 6 foot print for $200 Hong Kong dollars from this local place I've heard of. It will make a nice addition above my desk.

The details are amazing even if I think the clouds make some ungraceful tiny dots on some spots (maybe due to some conversion) but congrats anyway! keep up the good work

This one is not that bad, although I think something is missing in the background. A light source or the center of the nebula or at least some stars :/

Intriquing at that. It's pretty it makes me wonder if the top can be brighter since it seems to apear to me like a mix between northern lights and/or a storm. It's a good idea and I like it as well.

Beautiful angle and composition. The glow really adds to the piece as a whole. I also like the subtlety of the text. If it were any darker or lighter, it might take away from the rest of the image.

A realistic looking nebula!! Awesome work, and I can tell you put in the effort to make it that much better. I usually shortcut and use clouds or textures to make the nebulas, but this one is niiiiiiice. The planet aint half bad either

very good job, but I think the image is a little too big for here, it gets kind of hard to see everything in full view.
And it doesn't help that you see some graininess (is that a word?) which distract from the beauty.

This is very calm piece, good job there. Something which really bugs me is the grainy texture all over the picture. Maybe you could try to soften it with blured "light" layers. Also adding few stars there and there would make the picture live.
Planet texture isn't very original, but it's good anyhow. City lights are nice plus, allthough they could be brighter.
Resize it to about 75% or so, that might help a lot too.

Awesome job with this. My only attempt at a space painting got scrapped after 5 hours and one hundred layers when I realized it looked more like a bouncy ball than anything intimidating. The lighting in this could perhaps be a little more dramatic, but you definetly compensate for that by the detail in your textures. Great work!
