Woah it sure is busy!

I like the lay-out although there is so much on screen and so much content that It might get a bit confusing.

Let 'latest news' be more dominant on the page by turning the header into a bright color. People might miss it now because it isn't really obvious.

The newsblock items are done well, but it has too much text, if you make it more compact and have it all a little bit more space it will look more spacious and clean.

Not trying to be offensive or so just trying to give my vision about the lay-out.
