I am about to finish Optimus, when I started getting ideas for Megatron. I am going to put more work into the design stage this time as opposed to just free-style-modeling him.

I started with some sharpie on a sketchpad, working with silhouettes and going with a skeleton-warrior-spartan-robot idea. I then modeled the base that you see in the picture, then did a few paintovers trying to add in cool shapes and flesh him out and make him more megatrony.

I didn't want to just name them 1-4 so I gave them names based on what they reminded me of feature wise. Santa Clause was close to being Grizzly Adams.
