My first in master copies of artists I admire and want to learn from. Since I respect them too much to eat their brains, I will copy their work. This one was originally by Marko Djurdjevic. I'm trying to learn his skillz in lighting and color. I bought his DVD last summer and am trying incorporate one of his main adages: to slow down and think while I draw/paint.

The face is a little narrow and the lines aren't rendered fully, but I'm happy with where I'm stoppping. I was expecting it to be no where near this and to be crying in the corner from frustration at 3am, so at least I'm not doing that.
