Description
Started this a couple days ago (Tuesday, to be exact). Hasn't gone very far because I had to paint almost the entire canvas matte white before I could really get anyway, because prior to, I had this brilliant idea of drawing in sharpie on it. Never again.I used probably about half a tube of white acrylic, and I've been milking the tube for all it's worth. And I still have ground to cover, especially near the top and bottom left.
A while ago, I drew in one of my sketchbooks a girl's face, toned, freckled and surrounded by stark white hair and the beginnings of black feathers. Recently, I got brave and tried going over it in markers.. which did not work. But this handsome guy I know was showing me some really awesome paintings over the weekend, and I wanted to see what I could do (almost in comparison.. in a sense). Because they were toned very, very well. Thing is, I've had almost zero instruction in painting and wet media. So, hooray. I don't actually know how to use paint. The term for me would be 'fucking around,' heh. But it's almost, almost fun. In my opinion, if you don't know what you're doing, you can't fuck up as much. (; Just don't let on, and you should be alright, most of the time.
I like where this is going, but still I have my issues with it. One being her hair. The way it falls makes her face look.. wonky. (It's actually falling in frong of her left side of her jaw-- just doesn't quite look like it yet, heh; and therein lies the problem) And I don't know how to correct that, exactly. Especially since I just want to keep it all plain white, because there will most likely be crow feathers. Seven, to be exact.
But, uhm. Any suggestions would be really great. Concerning anything.

The only thing that looks slightly out to me is that the jaws do not quite match.
perhaps smoothing off the jaw on our left would balance the face, the nose is quite long also although sometimes people have long noses and if that's how you want it, cool.
I think it's looking good though and I can't really see a problem with the hair. Good work.
