So here is the 'collection' of CPU's. I recover old computesr & any arrays (m/bord, hard drive, memory, etc.) I can find; Or at least, I like.you know, I love old computers, they're from an age where computers were not industrially built and sold in hypermarkets for mister everyone (mr. tt le monde for francophones
ah. I was @ 100% in collection oldies about 3 years ago. Now I've calmed down
voila, in the .... hum ... 'celling' (? no no) ... that's is above my head. shit can't remember the word. Ya, u know, the underground place in house were you stack general goodies. Cave en français. Haha
ya, so there, I also have mhhh ... 10 old timers (386 SX16, DX33, 486 sx 25, DX33, DX2 66, etc.) I got 2 very interresting ones, Olivetti brand. 386 sx16, really slow, too bad they're template (impossible to put other components than the ones put in by the brand, Olivetti en l'occurence).
Ya, a 386 (DX tech is important in the case described here) with 8mb of RAM is able to run a Win95. And quite well.
the first computer of my 'collection' is a nice 386 DX33, her runs his own win 95.
386 and 486 are the only true way to enjoy old, but still awesome games like Might and Magic 3.

It's called an "Attic". ^_^
But nifty. Prolly would of loved my childhood days. We had computers *old and new* strewn about constantly. Were never with less than 5 or so in the house. Then my dad got fired cause the company got bought out -sigh- ah well.
Yay for computer stuffs.

oh ya, forgot to tell about my favorite, but unused ones (of course) that sleep above, in the .... zolder en flammand. Gahhh the room that's at the top of a house, where you don't live, but put stuff in it. Oh well ... how's that called now? dunno
There I got the ones I love (design). late '80, early '90 computer design rocks. The designs rocks until we reach 1995 u know, when the hypermarket started to sell crappy computers, shitty hardware, poorly assembled stuff, bad screens, the begin of the shitty keyboards (the kind of light plastic ones, no more backelite or hard plastic .. sigh).
and the worst with these hypermarket computers is the case. aluminium. It was heavy metallurgy before, silent, and very though. But then came aluminium, to help stupid people grabbing computers in hypermarkets. Easier to transport. Etc. etc. the beginning of the end! Doomsday approaches fellows! blablablabalbalbablablaaaaablaaaablaaaa
