Description
Macrokentriodon was a giant dolphin which used to be considered a member of the kentriodontid family, but is now believed to be closer to true delphinids. It is believed to have approached the modern orca in size, and would've been similar in shape to the bottlenose dolphin, except much larger and more robust, and with larger, less numerous teeth. Surely a formidable and highly intelligent predator of the mid-Miocene seas.

It seems that Dunk the Diver has lucked out once again on this particular tour of the Prehistoric Oceans! (unless this is a cetacean in one of the species more wicked moods ... ).

A gigantic dolphin, wow. I love it.
What was the status if the killerhwlae at the time of this. Did the killer whale outcompete this?

Killer whales did not appeared until the Pliocene, Makro became extinct long before those appeared (in fact killer whales even did not met megalodon as well)

So much for the idea of orcas outcompeting/eating megalodon to extinction then D:

Yes xD... if any proto-orca met meg, certainly wouldn’t have been the macro predator we know and surely wouldn’t have looked and preyed the same things xD.

The killer whale didn´t exist yet. Instead there were raptorial sperm whales.

Wow bonito delfin.
