They are gorgeous. Great composition. I usually don't find "redrawn" things very captivating, but these are .

Cool. I like the cat mixed in the lady with ermine.

I prefer cats - can't imagine cuddling a ferret / ermine!

Thanks for the links! I didn't want to "reply" because I'd lose them.

Wow, this was a great idea, they look very good. My favourite is the first one - the da Vinci painting and the art nouveau details are great together.

Thank you - I loved how they turned out. I'm building up quite a collection. Need to trade or sell them so that I can make room for more!

Now listen here miss, don't go getting too cheeky on me!

These are excellent fun.

My printer is out of yellow ink, so I'm trying to come up with a workaround for our next two paintings... Or I will just wait until new ink is delivered.

Oh dear. No yellow! I can imagine that the printout ends up looking rather strange.

Thankfully it will still print B&W despite the empty yellow. So I can play with the images a bit.

It's always fun to challenge yourself by working on a different scale. The tininess of these was interesting.

Yes, I can only imagine! Can you tell me where you get actual paper images like these?

hogret In reply to KanchanMahon [2011-07-12 05:41:37 +0000 UTC]

I buy art books at secondhand bookstores whenever I can find them, but mostly I use sites like this one [link] so that I can resize pictures in Photoshop and print them out myself.

KanchanMahon In reply to hogret [2011-07-12 11:42:05 +0000 UTC]

Yes, that’s the way I do things, cutting up old or (recently at great cost) new art books, as I said, so it gets expensive to feed my habit!
I hate having no control over the size though, you must be thankful for that printer!

The frames and slides had been lying around in my craft cupboard for ages until I mustered up the inspiration to make something with them!
