Model: JennyShe's the same old Jenny from the block... but she's also an awesome model and friend ^_^ I'm planning on using her for a few different pieces and hope to work with her more in the future too!
This was a bodypaint set I did with her with which was fun to do! I used aside from paints, metallic flakes and metal powders. I'm quite pleased with how the effect turned out.

She does! Actually, that's one of the shoots I have planned with her... she has a very classical look to her and I wanna try to do a set where she's done up like greek or roman statues or whatnot. ^_^
And she hides her wings under hair. ^_~

Living with Sara parents and sister is not easy. I can't really work on nudes with her sister and dad walking in and out of the office. It's a little hard to explain "why is there a nude women on my screen and is she a friend of Sara too Micheal what are you doing." I don't need this crap right now.

Whee! Finished my flooring this weekend... next weekend, I go about fixing my studio. Hopefully we can do that Siren shoot sometime after that. I plan to start my photo wall soon... it's actually not that hard... now that I have power tools! Bwhah.

Yay! Good luck with the house shopping. It took us nearly 30 houses we actually looked at before we found one we liked... it takes a while. Make sure you find the house that's right for you since you're gonna have to live in it for a while. =}
I plan to start the studio stuff this weekend... primarily cleanup still though. Replace the AC unit with a new one so.. you know... we can actually stay cool in there. =} And rip out all the old carpet.

Thanks! She has a very classical beauty to her and I loved working with her. I hope to work with her again in the future... as soon as I get my studio cleaned up from the flood I had a few weeks back X_x

Thanks, I'm sure it'll get better in a few months. First, suck up all the water in the carpets in my house... then rip out wood flooring, linoleum, and adhesive. Now I got bare concrete in the kitchen I gotta cover. After all that is done, THEN I can start on my studio. Bleah.
At least I have a bunch of raws from our last photoset I can use for future works ^_^

I got lots of different elements and mixed them together. I got parts from a scrap yard, rusted metals, etc.

I have yet to do any outdoor shooting... can't find a place secluded enough. If I ever fence off my back yard, I may ask models to work with me in my backyard... but until then, it's all gotta be photoshop =}

true, but for the photos your doing, you wouldn't have much options for themes with your own property unless you dressed it up a bit

I've considered going to a nudist park with a model before but I couldn't figure out the logistics of painting someone and then transporting them there... and very few places let me shoot outdoors with a nude model that aren't exclusive or pricey. But I have shot in other indoor photostudios before. ^_^

Thanks! I have a few more in the works but I gotta do commissions first. I'm a bad person... I did these over the weekend instead of my commissions. I just needed to unwind, I guess. I hope I can finish them in time still.

Though, it's pretty obvious you have fun doing these photomanipulations. I really like how you did this one--the rusty texture seems to blend into the model's skin very naturally, rather than looking painted-on, you get this impression...I can't quite say, 'decay', it's more like you figure she's been locked away for years and grown despondent. This is a very evocative image, and extremely well-done.

LOL, I'm sorry! Well, honestly also this weekend, I left all my art stuff at work by accident but I will start tomorrow and hopefully still have them done by the 4th of July. If not, I know how I'm spending my day off ^_^
Jenny was an awesome model and really got into the part. Then again, it was also about midnight when we were doing this, so she was probably also tired ^_^

I'd be curious to see more manipulations of this sort, regardless, with the skin being worked all over with a different texture like what you have here. It's actually a pretty interesting study in how light and color plays off that kind of thing.
It would be interesting to see portrait studies of this sort, as well, since you could probably get a really striking image with even just a face.

Well, I've been trying different materials because paint designs, as pretty as they are, get boring after a while. There are so many ways you can draw lines on a person before it looks like something else.
Then again, this one took 2 hours or so to apply... it was painfully slow brushing bubble fluid onto her, sprinkling metal flake onto her, brushing over that with more bubble fluid. I had an assistant so it wasn't so bad, but still... it was tiring O_o It was worth it though, I think.

Well, you could always go old-school and just sit your model somewhere for about ten hours holding perfectly still while you painstakingly apply oil paints to a canvas!
