Not afraid to get her hands dirty, she heads into every situation, ready to face whatever they have ready for her. She faces fear often as she does hardcore parkour and visits graveyards for a living. The only thing she's really afraid of is being humiliated and failing, she's very self-critical of herself and when she fails, she takes it hard. Though despite this, it doesn't mean she won't keep trying.

She was raised by a single mother and her only father figure was her eldest brother. Their mother had little education, when her husband decided to leave and never come back, she managed to get a low paying job as a maintenance worker for the Pokemon Center. There was little money coming in so her brother fell back onto crime, simple pick pocketing, underground fighting and small part time jobs. He taught his sister the trade, bringing her into the world of crime and delinquency. Daphne adored her brother, following his footsteps until he became a Pokemon trainer. Once he became a Pokemon trainer, he gave all that crime up and was led down a dangerous path as a Pokemon trainer.

However, an incident occurred while he was on his adventure, a gym battle that went too far and he died instantly. The sudden death and the inability to give him a proper burial burned her deeply. She decided to follow her own path, even if it was the wrong one. Her grief shook her to the core and her mother as well. The grief of losing her first born, left her mom in an almost catatonic state. Her mother barely ate and when she drank, it was alcoholic.

Unable to deal with her and her mother's grief, she set out on her own. Skimping and surviving on her own, she moved from place to place: slept on the streets, slept in abandoned warehouses and poke centers. One day, overhearing a conversation from some tourist, She heard of an emerging group in the Issho Region that preached against trainers being tossed into dangerous environments and situations. They wanted to bring down the establishment and so did she. Interested, she pick pocketed a ferry ticket to the Issho Region where she immediately signed up.
