Description Excited Noumi

-Special Class-

Wahoo!

After 2 minutes of my clock alarming,
After 5 minutes of fixing my bed,
After 15 minutes of bathing Strelka and Belka, and letting them dry outside the dorm.
After 20 minutes of soaking in hot water in the bath tub,
After 10 minutes of choosing what to wear, and ending up wearing the same old cloak and hat,
After 5 minutes of dressing up, and another 10 minutes of combing my hair,
After 20 minutes of walking under the happy sunlight,
And after 10 minutes of sitting patiently, waiting…

He came, Riki Naoe, with his nice smile.

Wahoo!

But before we eat sweets together,
Before we talk about fun things about one another, especially about my love of Japanese culture,
Before we walk on the park while holding hands,
Before we go to the Cinema and watch a romantic movie,
Before we watch the beautiful setting sun together,
Before we go back to the dorm together,

I would just like to tell Riki,

“You’re Late!”

Oww, why say that, this is a friendly competition, and winning is just a bragging right, what's important is that we achieved something even more precious, and learned from this experience, who ever wins, well, it's up to the judges, you see, complying to the rules of Exchange Art style is hard, since adapting an unfamiliar art style for a short amount of time is not easy, so this duel is a great overwhelming success....hooray to all involved...

T_T I'm impressed on you made it look so simple. I never thought of it that way, maybe because it felt like i didn't gave my all in the challenge. In the end you were the one who enlightens me. hehe

you're spot on! The challenge gave us the experiences we needed. It also made us realize that our style is our own we we can hardly copy others. nonetheless, i love the way made our situation look brighter.

I am truly glad to hear that I won, I know that this is yet another step into becoming an even better artist.I thank you for giving me such an opportunity to experience this kind of competition.Since the Duel is over, I am free from the bounds of criticism

Let me start with my own artwork. True, my artwork did play on the "Safe side". What I did is normal looking, and it doesn't intend to prove something that I can't, instead, it showed what I currently can without the attempt of experimenting. My work was made with the intend of making it good enough to impress the judges, and is an embarrassment in itself. It's not I didn't enjoy making Kud, but with my heart aiming to gain more points and crushing my competitor, my artwork showed what I can do when I'm focused on something beyond what my soul normally tells me to do.

And then there's your artwork. Let me be honest, for honesty strengthens the heart of a true person. I know that Na-ga's art style is no walk in the park, and your attempt to draw her with an unfamiliar art style is impressive enough, but no, you did even more. What other deviants said about your artwork is true, it is ambitious, instead of making kud Kawaii enough to showcase her character, you chose to draw her in perspective. On the other Hand, your artwork suffered one of your chosen concepts side effect, and that is to not show Kud in a cute way. Showing her in full body to present the perspective made the face smaller, and thus in order to at least feature Kud's face, you included the Text Caption with Kud's face on it...You lost the match, but you won when it comes to heart, what you drew is an artwork that is yours, with an intention that is pure.

I am not good with this kind of words, nor am I trying to read you, but just like I said, I learned so much from this experience. As a teacher, you have succeeded in teaching me a valuable lesson...Again thanks...

heh, nga pala, sorry for this out of season na tanong, but as a former student, I'm curious, "What does a teacher feel when she is sending her batch of students to graduate?", I know you'll say, sad but happy..but a deeper insight will make me understand more about the difference of the contributions each profession's play part on one's life...(lalim ng gusto kong malaman...ngek)

Traditionally

Sending off a batch of students feels like joining gambling game. It is also similar to how parents feel when a man takes the hand of their daughter into marriage. It can also be similar to the feeling of loosing your younger brother or sister in a crowd.

What I think - teaching and professionalism is like MMORPG

Educators don't think of students as children. We think of them as our players. The world where which we release them is a savanna. Out there, they could be the hunter or the prey.

What we give students in school is wisdom that they'll need in the hunting grounds. These understandings and skills are their weapons for survival. Well equipped, the students can fight for their lives. Ill equipped, it's a curse they've tattooed on their bodies.

A common notion for students who graduate from schools is that they're ready for everything, that they know everything, that the world revolves around them. That confidence comes from what they know. Some time passes and a dilemma arises. Fear builds up. The fear comes from their realization of what they don't know. Realities are seen in the outside world that is why teachers play a vital role in molding students to act and think as mature as possible. Think of fear as the fog of war in RPG and Strategy games. We can't cheat in the real world. Cheat codes like black sheep wall and I see dead people don't exist. It's great if we could ultimately cheat right? But it doesn't really happen.

Implication

When a student starts working for his own, whatever that student got as a job is a pride of the teacher. The student, who was a player and now a professional, is a reflection of the teacher. If a student looses in the game without realizing his/her goal, it's also a game over to the teacher. It just reflects how weak the character building was when the student was still in school. Otherwise, if the student loves his attainment no matter how meager but he/she enjoys it, it should state that the philosophy where which education stands grew from him/her as roots and now are maturing. In that we could say that success does not come from the position the person attained. Success comes from the obstacles beaten in order to have that particular position in life.

Such insight...really, I learned so much from this..now that I realized this, I'm starting to become proud of myself and all the teachers who've shaped my intellect from Kinder to college. I believed survived school because I'm eager and lucky to have persevering parents. their efforts to educate ma made me persevere and graduate, and I feel sad for those fallen students along the way, of how their future will become....as a student, I seldom appreciate all the teacher's efforts to teach me something. I cut classes, I sleep, I fail exams and take summers, not thinking how it makes my teacher feels, to see her student not being interested to be equipped with knowledge he will use to enter the urban jungle of reality...and her failure to do so will put a student and his future to crumble..only then that I realize it, when I was looking for a job and remembering their teachings, all I can say is, thanks to them, I'm employed...I hope they are proud of me heh..because it a sad thought for teachers to live a life of meetings, being close to students then bidding goodbye to them one day.....every school year...then knowing that those days are in vain due to your incompetency...ahh, all I can say I salute you ma'am...(it might turn into a novel if I say more heh)

After all the exhaustion and everyday experimentation with style - I really wanted to put Kud with your style and not with Takamura's. The days before the submission, I was more than worried that you would not place a submission. The long wait made me more anxious than worried. Seeing this art, I saw a difference with your style. A difference that made me think that your potential was greater than i could pull in a month. I'm not really a talented artist. I learned my way in drawing. Your progress, please don't forget them. This thought isn't only relevant in art but also in our walks in life. Branching my thoughts over our works is difficult but I can say that you are more dedicated learning new things than what I have expected. Sorry I really did underestimated you - you're presentation here, it's a real pill to my conviction that art is simple. n_n

Sorry for my long absence foe this day, my cousin made me draw a 4 paged comics, so I have to rush it..Thanks for the compliment, but I don't actually believe that what I have is talent, just a skill. Talent is that of a genius who can make people around him stand at awe at the presence of his work, as for mine, is just average, though I will do my best to become better, I won't let everybody down.

anirhapsodist In reply to Hokage3 [2011-03-16 13:07:40 +0000 UTC]

I use my PM to generate a larger quantity of audience. The more audience the more exposure, the more exposure the more (professional)fame.
Artists like you need to be exposed. Your talent radiates but only few gaze upon it. The PM acts as a substitute of that space. Emitting more luster by reflecting your art to the world.

Beautify your domain, expose your art, join contests, comment like how you critique my work.

Heh, I can;t blame you for the urge for fame, an artist who doesn't crave for fame is a hypocrite, OR, a very honest, pure artist. which is not me. anyways...yours is "professional " fame, which is constructive, for we feed in positive response from others. I want to be exposed too...whaaaaa.What you said puzzled me,my art radiates yet few sees it? it seems my advertising knowledge doesn't take effect on art (^_^)And I will comment like How I critique your work (I'm sweating now)heh...I will do so..thanks for the push...

have you seen a sky without a star?
i believe if you look closely you'd eventually find one. The ounce of effort you make to notice a single star in a blank sky is awful but once you reflect on that courage to search for a single star, all of the frustration goes away. So too and is true as it is similar to the artist and his/her.

I'm a literature illustrator for many DA writers. My works are the real reflection of their children. My fame is congruent to their success and it makes me happy if they are glad with how I render their character and literature. The audience gathering is a symbiosis for artists. The people who love the literature will surely reciprocate the art. It also shares the same concept to my art. If I render it well, the literature gathers enough audience for a Daily deviation. It's a radical view of how DA works and I'm more than happy to share insights on how I do mine.
