Description

This was inspired by the moment in Dragon Ball Z when Frieza is defeated on Planet Namek. There was this iconic shot which made me want to redraw it when I saw it!

The hair's art style is slightly inspired by how it looks in the game Dragon Ball FighterZ, though after finishing the art entirely I was wondering if the original hair look from the anime or manga would’ve been better.

I was experimenting with filters on another drawing app I’m unfamiliar with called ibisPaint X, and it just so happened to have filters that can give off the effect of an old animated show.

It's not often that I incorporate the actual first sketch layer into the final product, but in my opinion, it suits it well as the sketch lines make him look convincingly battle worn!
