OK, I don't like this AT ALL. I was hesitating whether to postpone it or not. I think why people like it is the pretty texture. Your is original and beautiful. This was simply a quick sketch to try charcoal pencil with pastel paper. (Don't do that, it's not fun. Charcoal pencil is for Ingres paper.)

I think itΒ΄s a beautiful draw, really. I admire how beautiful your charcoal draws are. I tried the other day to use charcoal and the result could be titled "black paper". lol. IΒ΄m glad you posted it.

What kind of charcoal did you use? Pencil? Because it is easier to control pencils. If it was a chalk, not a pencil, it is going to be dark - there is a special rubber with which it is best.

Oh, yeah, it was a chalk. A friend of mine who draws gave me one to try... and it was a big fail. xDD I think I will keep drawing with pencil until I become a little better and then maybe try the pencil charcoal.

Pencil charcoal is completely different. It is exactly the same as pencil , but darker, so your drawings will have more contrast. You should try it, because that IS fun even for the first time.

Lovely as always, dear. Bella's likeness is spot on. Edward is a little different, I think, but who says they have to be exact copies or something. The atmosphere of the piece is just perfect. I'd love to be able to draw such a beautiful thing and then call it a 'fast doodle'. You're amazing

Yes, Edward looks weird indeed. Maybe his head is too big or neck is too thin... He looks like a child, anyway.

I don't have PS, either. I use Linux, which work, which is free, which is easy and where there are no viruses (it has irregular plural, but what? O_o)
There is a free program here, called GIMP image editor. You can us it under windows as well. It is very easy try it. I can help you if you don't understand anything.

I try, but at the moment I'm so busy with such a lot of different stuff. I plan to go abroad next year, and additional to that, i working on some essays for university.. but if the contest will be open until 8/31/2011 i think i will enter it.
