Description

While this picture may not look the part, it is still part of the series on the old industrial area. The structure depicted here however was never in industrial use and is actually abandoned, hence why I actually uploaded it in the 'Urbex'-section. The room on the photo is the only remaining part of an old, German u-boat bunker from the second world war and it was actually what brought me to the industrial area. While there is a much more famous and well preserved U-boat bunker in my area, which is actually in use as a museum, this one just sits abandoned at the edge of a property owned by one of the surrounding companies. It is marked as a publically accessible historical sight and there are a few signs around to inform visitors about the structure's history, although I don't really know if and how the bunker is visited by people interested in my town's history, since, as I mentioned before, it sits in a creepy industrial area on some factory-grounds, so guess, if you somehow find out where I took this picture and want one of your own, better do as I did and show up on a Sunday!
