Messed up? WHAT. I am LOVING your style! The elongated legs just push their youth and gives such depth to the picture. Celestia's mane is just gorgeous - love the wisps of mane and tail. It just makes her look so whimsical. And the curve of Discord's body just works so well against Celestia's pose. As if he is the harmony - coiled and perfect - and she the wild unknown with that river of mane floating about.
Very lovely! The lazy poses and the content and curious expressions just sell it - beautiful work!

Personally, I love it! I like how Celestia's mane doesn't look perfectly kept, like it's mussed a little. And Discord is downright awesome! It's a very sweet picture

Sorry, just my opinion. The fact that the strands don't flow with the direction of the hair itself is meh.
When making a clipping mask, you still should skew the layer a bit.
