When I saw it I knew instantly that it’d be on my list. Her style is amazing !! This pic is so incredible and mysterious, the perfect mix of gothic and Victorian atmosphere. And I was definitely not going to pass up the opportunity to draw those puffy sleeves 
In any case, I loved working on it ! Now, to pick which one is going to be next !!

I'm impressed that you took on this challenge. This is definitely has a Victorian Gothic Horror/Romance feeling to it, you really did make it your own. I'm adding it to my collection of favorites, it's your style & I like this genre of literature & film. 
P.S. Have you ever heard of the film "Crimson Peak"? That's what this sort of reminds me of, remind me to tell you about it some time.

Well, I thought the movie was spooky, but it wasn't really to my taste. The ex liked horror; I don't.

My apologies for stirring up certain memories. I'm not a big fan of horror films either. Not the modern ones that have excessive ugliness and brutality, you see. Movies like Crimson Peak with good writing, psychological elements, and a unique appeal are always on my list of favorites. I suppose that's why I respect the writing of Poe and the films of Hitchcock.

Nothing to apologize for. We just have different tastes, that's all. My favorite work by Poe was To Helen, and although I think Hitchcock was a very talented director, his films aren't my favorites.
But we're getting off topic. I do like Hollybell's picture and appreciate the different style. It's always fun to see talented artists branching out into new areas.

I studied Hitchcock & his films in high school, so that's where my understanding came from. My favorite story from Poe is The Cask of Amontillado. HollyBell is one of my favorite artists here on DA. She certainly is talented and blessed.
