On June 30th 2008 I posted my first wallpaper based on Diablo 3, and on July 11th 2008 will be the Fiery Runes Series' 5 years as well. I had a few ideas on how to approach this wallpaper but they were too busy or just didn't have that impact I wanted.

Eventually it came down to this piece. With the Des Systema Alchemy, a massive 74 runed runecircle of all the runes I used over the last 5 years. Then I couldn't decide what image piece to use and then I realized why not use one of the reveal images back when all of this started. I didn't even make a wallpaper with that art at all. So with that I used the nearly revealed diablo glaring through the ice. It just had that extra bit I wanted.

I also tried to use runewords running down the screen almost matrix like but that just didn't look right and it didn't make the image very clean. So i went very traditional in fiery runes style and made the background more simplified and still had that red with a texture behind the alchemy to just make it pop more.

But I digress; this wallpaper is for all of those again who have supported me and helped me along the way. Good or ill it all still helped me get to this point. Here's to many many more years of wallpaper artwork in the future. Thank you all.
