i hate that you can't have slashes in titles.2 of 4 (who will show up at some point). this is Minami.
i have been working on these people for quite a while. i'm not exactly sure where they're going yet, but i like them.
god, my scanner is stupid.

I think devART should put the comment boxes above all previous comments. It would make it easier to look at your piece and write down thoughts. But alas, bitching is over. On to...review! ...I think that rhymes.
I really like the details you put in (texture of the lips, eyelash placement and ring of light on the hair). The style is impressive (damn you) with all the lines going down. I'd normally expect there to be lines that stood out as wobbly, but there don't seem to be any.
I'm trying to find something to critique so this could be a useful post.
At points with the hair I can't tell if you were trying to add shades. I know there are white (or light) parts and dark parts. Within the dark parts, there seem to be some hints of highlights and tone change. If you were going for that, maybe try adding some darkness on other parts to show more strongly where the light is.
All in all, there's a reason I clicked on this in your gallery first. ^^ It's simple yet very meticulous and pretty.

thank you! the lips i think were subconsciously inspired by another artist who does them very well. haaa, i'm surprised you don't see any wobbly lines, my hands shake a lot. i think i just did the strokes really fast. yeah,i did,it was right before my chemistry final and i needed to let some energy out XD;;
when i edited this i made it really light, which looked cool on the laptop i was on.however, i'm not sure how it's showing up on other computers, it probably killed the shading. but i didn't have much contrast in this one anyway :/ i always have issues with contrast, so thank you for the critique :]

I looked again and still don't see any, no. Maybe a few that aren't exactly parallel, but none that are spastic over the place. If you did it fast, that makes sense.
I can see some highlights, like around the hair, but I thought you had intended it to be very subtle. It's possible in the transition between computers, some of the shading and contrast got lost. But I like that you kept the face clean. Very well done. ^^

mmmyeah,hair isn't perfect anyway XC this was actually just going to be a little character sketch but i decided to finish it. so,idk. my stuff isn't clean enough as it is XD;;
i think i had been looking at really high-contrast portrait photos the day before or something :/ i don't remember.

High-contrast photos are interesting. I'm limiting my time looking at stuff to try and keep my confidence stable. x]
I've taken a break, I think. Well, technically, yesterday it was a full-on quit. I just don't like what I've found as my style at the moment, so I'm not sure that I'll put any up. >>;
