Aw this is one of the most heart-warming and at the same time funny photo-like drawing I've seen in a loooong time! I love the expression of the octopus, he seems not quite sure whether chasing a stick on the dry land is a good idea. Also the boy is cute, I like the teeth hanging out of his smile.
The whole effect you put on the brown tones, like the blurriness and soft lights on some parts, give the whole thing an extra warm atmosphere too.

The foreground is 100% traditional watercolor on aquarelle paper. The sky is from a picture my parents took a while ago. I combined both "elements" in Photoshop 6.
