Beatz was a very shy filly when she was born and she is still as shy as before. The population frowned upon different race marriages as her father was a pegasus and her mother a Nocturnal Howler, a hideous and very vicious creature who's only purpose is to eat and eat. Beatz was born with big ears, wings and fluffy hooves, the main features to identify a nocturnal howler. She can turn into her Nocturnal Howler side anytime she wants and it's not her other "evil side". She didn't get the ability to fly during her birth, having most of her genes from her mother. She was always fascinated by other normal ponies and wanted to be friends with them. At the age of 6, she wandered outside of the premises after watching little fillies play ball. Wanting to join, she started trying to speak with them, but being raised by different races with different language, it was difficult. The fillies were confused but after seeing her gesturing to the ball, they let her join. Turns out, one of the fillies' father was a hunter. It wasn't long after Beatz was run after by the father with a shotgun. While running, she was grazed deeply by the bullet and ended up tripping down the hill, causing a scar to form under her right eye.

After her encounter with the hunter, the entire pack was forced to move to the other side of the forest to avoid other hunters hunting them down. Beatz had been forbidden to be out of the premises ever since and at the age of 17, she broke the rule. She had been observing a certain mare who would always pick up flowers and wanted to be with her. The mare saw Beatz and was terrified at how she had 5 eyes, ripped cheeks and a long tail. Beatz felt bad immediately and turned herself to a more appropriate appearance. She led the mare to another side of the forest where it had magical glowing flowers. The mare was very ecstatic and collected flowers non-stop. Beatz was happy and helped her explore more flowers and in return, the mare taught Beatz how to talk a different language so that they can communicate. Then, they began dating secretly for the sake of Beatz's pack but broke up after weeks. The feeling was mutual so they stayed friends. At the age of 18, Beatz had finally gained the right to be able to leave the premises but was very shy and nervous when she had realized that most pegasus are up in the clouds and she can't fly. She moved to the city where she worked as a dancer to save up enough to buy a camera and start her work as a photographer.
