A problem I face all the time.I tend to sketch wherever I can on a page (though I do try to stay off the corners) and this constantly agonizes me, now that I'm so accustomed to being able to move a piece around in CG Illust and stuff.
The lack of an undo button also irks me to no end

The same happens to me, though it's writing rather than drawing. There's always that terrible moment when I'm out and about and I can't find the spell check on my notebook.

I hate it when that happens. At one point, everytime i was drawing serious work on paper and i made a mistake i would reach up into the upper left hand corner, only to notice there wasn't an undo button. FML.

i put the same face when i was aking a draw and the head with the hair looked great for me and then i said "if i move it just a little bit up...hmp..."-closes the notebook- adn there are times that i'm drawing and i start saying "Cttrl + z" and i get angry when i realize that is a notebook, sorry for random comment

I know how this is. after using digital crap, using traditional crap is weird.

I personally like doing sketches/pencils/inks on paper, (I suck at drawing linearts digitally, and traditional lineart doesnt in the end really differ at all from digital linearts, since you can clean it up and strenghten lines after scan) then coloring with copics or programs like gimp and/or corel photo paint essentials 4... personally I havent never ever had this problem drawing out of paper/canvas... it just feels... too weird and unnatural to happen... maybe solution for you problem (digitally) would be to zoom out more when sketching? or using "plan" layer, where you just draw the skeleton/stickman and then "sketch" layer where you sketch details of charachter... idk lol.

I know, that's what I usually do when drawing digitally, which I really don't do all that much. presonally, I prefer traditional sketching and inking to digital drawing (and I prefer digital coloring with GIMP to traditional coloring, and I do use brighten and contrast and stuff to help clean my pictures after I scan it in. I sort've overemphasized the problem for comedic effect on this.

A Wacom. I believe it's extremely old, however, due to the small size and brown sides (and the fact that the teacher who gave it to me told me so).

Lol, ive had this happen so many times, and I have no idea why, for the longest time I was a traditional artist. Until I got into CG... The I looked at the paper going "WHERE THE HELL IS THE UNDO BUTTON.... *draws one quick* poke poke WORK*

Yeah...when it comes to coloring I can only do digital man. But for inking and sketching, I just like traditional way more. Well, except for when that happens.

Yeah, I understand that. I totally did the same things when I was younger but then sometimes, you end up linking the wrong lineart and then a whole lot of things go down. Like going insane~I understand~
