Description
Ok, first things first I'm sorry this was so late. During the week of Halloween I lost my phone so I could not take and pictures. So ya. The Head consists of the Main part (the projector) , cords that 'melt' into your back and two that attach to your limbs, and a flashlight that inserts into one of the sight - holes in the front. Also as seen in the picture, it has a faux speaker that attaches to your chest, as seen in the game. UNLIKE in the picture (Which is just the mask and chestpiece) the costume is meant to be worn with black clothing or a black skinsuit. with no face cover.Related content

This is very cool! How long did it take you to make the projector?
I'd love to know because I am planning to go as the Projectionist to comic con in a few month.

Thanks!
I'm not sure what to say about how long it took... Let's say maybe two weeks? Or less? Most of the time was cutting, glueing, painting, and waiting for it all to dry. I'm not actually sure because I wasn't in my home most of the time because of the fires where I live so I couldn't get to work on it. So I'll estimate two weeks of a little bit of work each day? The longest part I think will be the waiting. Idk. But I'm glad you like it! I think the hardest part was figuring out how to hold it on my head and how to get the cords *in* my back. 😅 But woohoo!! Projectionist squad!

Man, I am not too good at making things like this. But I am planning to make it. I have 5 month left before comic con. There is 3 things I am having issues on figuring out. I want mine to have a light in it. I am trying to figure out how I am going to make the light point in a certain direction with a certain amount of light with the ability to flicker with a yellowish colored screen. Not just have it shining everywhere. Also I am stuck only using the LED lights I have. I got some yellow lens to give it that yellowish color. Also trying to figure out how big I should make the Projector to fit on my head. I don't want it too big or too small. And the main thing, how am I going to see out of it without blinding myself with the light that will be installed.
I have some ideas on how to do the body and stuff. But I will do that later. I know the hardest part is figuring out the Projector helmet so I want to get that done first.
Which reminds me, Another question. How well can you see out of the projector? That is one main issue I am still trying to figure out.
Yay! Projectionist squad!
Two of my friends is also planning to go but one is going as Sammy Lawrence, while the other is going as Henry. So I want to go as The Projectionist(Norman).

Ok I'll tackle the first thing first. I think that having the light point a certain place will depend on what your head is in, my 'head' srsly just has a hat attached to the top of the inside with a elastic chinstrap. It's not very stable, so it slips down a bit. But that's fine because that's kinda what it looks like so I think I'm good.
Now for the light................ I used a flashlight that makes a perfect circle of light when on. I cut a hole just smaller than the widest part of the flashlight. I'll send you a picture maybe. I'm not sure how I would do it with an led.......... I'll think about that.
Now for the sizing. Now mine is actually a bit too big, I had only one box to work with so there wasn't much I could do about that! 😅 I think it should be slightly wider that your head with about 2 inches or less space on each side (uncomfortable I know) small as possible..... Because it has to look like your actual head.
Visibility-
With the light in I can barely see. With no light it really helps with vision. My design was actually to build a periscope over the flashlight. It didn't work. So I have a small hole to see out of. But then again this was a Halloween costume so I kinda carried it on my shoulder like a boom box. But you're going to a con... Hmm I'll think about that too. Darn I wish I made a time lapse if that couldve been any help. Ya know what I'll send you some pictures in a note maybe... If it's possible. I'll try.
You just have to BELIEVE!!!
Dear god why am I quoting Joey drew now!??! xD

Oh ok. So you are using a hat inside the Projector? Ok. That somewhat makes things easier. I don't want it moving on my head too much. I didn't not think of the hat idea. So I will think on how I will do that.
The LED lights I can probably figure out. I am not wanting to use a flash light because I will have to keep looking for the off button and it won't flicker like I would want it to. The LED lights, I managed to extend the wires myself so they are long enough. And so I will probably be able to attach it and have it run down my arm and I will have the button on my hand so I can control the flickering and control whether I have it on or off... Just trying to figure out where and how to put it on the projector, I am thinking I might have to run the wires in the projector itself in a way as well just so I can attach it to my arm and hand...
The sizing is going to be difficult for me to do. I was thinking of individually cutting pieces and gluing them together. But the Box... I can probably do that now that you mentioned it. But trying to find the right box is something I have to look into. The closest thing I made to this was helping my friend make a TV head from cardboard. But even afterwards, it was still wobbly and unstable and somewhat too big.
For me to be able to see, I am still trying to figure that out. I have an idea because I will have splatter marks on the projector, I and going to use something close to Gel paper to possibly allow me to see. But I have to do all the measurements and stuff first and figure out the lights. I am just concerned on how to do the projector head first. The other stuff, I thought through and can easily do it. Also I have to be careful on blinding people too much. So at least the light will be in my complete control. Just I have to figure out on how I am going to see out of the Projector without it blocking majority of my vision.
I believe I can do this. Don't worry
Also Joey is kind of right. We got to believe in ourselves from time to time. We just gotta.
