Description
Which variant is better? In all variants of the second hand will keep the beast for the skin on the head. I somehow can not decide which variant is more preferable (to not waste time drawing the other two. I would be grateful for the vote)

The last one shows more movment in a still action like your work so u would have to say the last one

I love the third rendering, it's just a bit more intense.

second or third one..
maybe the third one - with his right hand could grab his fur or sth, so he wouldn't fall...or idk
second and third - you choose in any case, I believe it will look great

Middle. I agree that the far right one would work too, but the left one seems a bit high up and awkward.

I like the middle one the best, the right hand one looks alright too. The left hand one seems too far up

Middle one looks a lot more natural in my opinion

The second one feels like the smaller creature is fighting hard. The third feels like it's only just holding on. I think which of them you go with really depends on the feel you want for the scene.

I think 2 works best. 1 is definitely too high...looks like baboon-cat is going to go sailing off backwards at any moment...and 3...I don't know what it is about 3...just looks wrong I guess. *shrug*

the last one seems to match best for me ^^

Considering the forward momentum of the shot and the assumed dexterity of the baboon man I would go with 3. After all the beast is trying to pull away and he's trying to hold on for dear life.

Third looks best to me. My second choice is #2.

2
If I imagine holding onto a moving person of beast or whatever with one hand and stabbing with the other, you have to keep a good grip on it, with your whole body weight behind you so your stabby hand has room to swing, and not fall off at the same time. 1 seems too high, like he hasn't got a good grip with whole body. 3 seems like he's just got a grip on the other side of the beasts face, so it seems he would fall off too easy and not get the chance to stab as deeply as he would like. 2 looks like he has the best grip on the beast.

Right 1st, Middle 2nd and Left 3rd. The positioning seems more balanced on the right one.

I think the second shot shows more power for the weapon in his hand. like it looks like the attacker is using more force then the first and third pic.
but I agree with ~I-Am-Chaos, with the gravity pulling the attacker down while the beast is somewhat jumping. maybe in between the two? XD

Yes, probably I will think something in between)
