Yup. People love it when they put a lot of work into a game/music album/video or whatever just for people to steal it.
Having friends who are musicians, I know they love spending about ten thousand dollars getting a 50 minute album produced, while they make nothing of it. All the time, money, effort, endless days of rehearsal, blood, sweat and tears came to a big sum of money known as $0. But hey They're musicians, I mean, like, all bands are signed to labels right? All bands make millions right? Yeah, because it's a band, they'll have HEAPS of fans! As you know kids, in music, you lose more than you earn, so why not lose everything and earn nothing? That's totally not the reason as to why the music industry is getting screwed over nowadays.
I suppose in ten or twenty years, we can tell the power companies to fuck off for another week and make them pay our bills for us, while the film industry cannot afford to do any more films, and the gaming industry went fully corrupt, amazing! Yes, I support piracy 100%, it's the best thing since actually paying for something, and making sure quality is always given!

Piracy is not stealing. You're making a copy when you do that.
Also, there are other ways of making income through something you make, such as streaming, commissions, etc. It's not as bad as you think; there are worse crimes that should be taken care of...

it shouldnt be criminal tho there r so many other crimes that need to be tended to, a 15 year old downloading a disney movie shouldnt be such a high priority. murder, rape etc. actually damages and hurts people, illegally downloading a movie doesnt harm the big media conglomerates who have all the money they could wish for.Β
i do and will always think stealing is okay when its against big media companies. I do not condone stealing from small businesses and companies or people. The only other form of stealing I agree with is people who have to steal food and resources to survive, because capitalism hates the lower class and homeless. It also doesn't help that all these subscription services are popping up to rival disney. all they want is money and we shouldn't encourage them. i will not support the choices of disney to make all their content exclusive to one streaming service, if i want to watch disney movies i will do it illegally. it is wrong and greedy. piracy rates are higher than theyve been in years and its all thanks to all these new streaming services, because people simply do not have the money to pay for all of them. That's just how i see it. other people can happily purchase their movies or programs legally but i will not encourage companies like disney making their content difficult to access and exclusive to people with disposable income

in my opinion im a bit on the fence when it comes to things like this...
in most cases i dont understand why enyone cares,all movies games and music that has been put up on the internet for free download had to come from its original source,which was almost un-doubtibly paid for.
in my expeiriance most poeple (myself included) most often download content that has been,for the most part,been taken out of production and pretty much no longer exist.
i download and play roms of old super nintendo (and a few playstation 1) games all the time,seing as it these games where dis continued and the companies (or "Industries") no longer make money off of them enyway.
the only way i see "Piracy" as a crime is if said inividual is getting money off of it.
