lol Nah, I was just kidding around. I sort of agree with you. Things like chorodates (reptiles, fish, mammals, etc.) I feel uncomfortable harming. Most other animals though, like arthropods (insects, crabs, spiders, etc.), most mollusks (snails, squids, clams, etc.), cnidarians, poriferans, etc., not really. Octopuses are an exception though.
There are a lot of things, for me at least, to think about in this. It's more like, I just don't want to do the act. I'm fine with eating them though, as long as the species isn't endangered or too intelligent (like dolphins and whales). It's hard to explain it.

I totally agree with you. If you're going to collect trophies, then you should take the time to use your car and find a nice roadkill and stuff it. You'd be helping the environment and the people that have to clean it up while enjoying the beauty of the animal. Especially if it was a young animal that never really got the chance to be enjoyed.

ya, I didn't think about that until after I wrote the comment. Again, I agree with you. If I was driving and I saw roadkill in like the city or something, then I would take it, but not if it were in the woods or something.

but roadkill is usually very very flat and gross and half rotted. A friend of mine works with leather and he says that roadkill has already started to putrify and that's why he can't use it.

It depends, really. If you find roadkill fresh enough it's great. I have a roadkill fox pelt and it's pretty high quality, just a tiny bit of road burn. One of my friends skins/tans roadkill hides and she says as long as they're fairly fresh and it's been cold outside, they aren't too bad quality.

I saw a raccoon the other day on the side of the road that had been hit by a car. At first I thought it was a dog. It was probably hit a little before we saw it, because it was still intact.

I dont want to give a generic answer, but it does taste a lot like chicken, just ...Slimier I guess. Not really greasy though xD :[ It's not my choice cut.
And the only reason we dont eat people is because we taste lousy.
