Non-pinup/cartoon stuff!
This is my finals project for my Life Drawing class. The class was assigned to do a take home final of drawing a figure with muscles and bones. However, my teacher expected me and other advanced artists to draw more than a human figure. He wanted the basic human figure with the head of some animal.
I was given over a week to work on the final... Turns out I did not have anything in mind until LAST MINUTE! I finally chose to do Anubis because my little brother was talking about Egyptian gods.

This piece took me quite a while. First I had to study how the bones laid in the figure, and then how all the muscles would fit onto the figure. Even with all the reference I could find on muscles, they were still a pain to draw! Muscles in forearm, legs, and neck are all weird! Aside from that, I had to look up dog muscles for the leg and face.

Overall, I had fun doing this piece.
