Another comic! Cynthia wonders why Timbo won't go into the water despite the fact that he loves the beach.
I felt like taking a short break from Timbo's job searching story arc, so I made a comic taking place at the beach (because summers aren't complete without beaches!). I also felt that it'd be nice to have Cynthia be in the comics again. I'm pretty sure you can tell, but I had lots of fun creating the last panel!
I'll tell you that I LOVE the beach and oceans. I just really like sea critters and the beautiful underwater ecosystems. I can talk about all the stuff I think is cool, but there's another thing... I'm terrified of deep bodies of water. I really have no clue why I'm like that because when I was a kid I used to go swimming at beaches and lakes without fear! Nowdays I will only go knees deep. If my crotch gets wet, then I tell myself that I've gone too far! Every time I go into the water, I'm constantly thinking what can potentially hurt me or what can drag me into the depths! When I think WAY too much I end up backing off and just kick water around.
However I don't think my fear really gets that crazy because sometimes I eventually get the guts to actually swim at the beach. Usually I have to have somebody else go into the water with me so I can feel comfortable lol. When I don't really think about it, I'll have a great time just like the time when I went swimming in Florida's wonderful beaches. I feel that the fear comes from the fact that the ocean is full of mystery because it's an entirely different world. But that mystery is both scary and beautiful at the same time... So I'm always drawn to it!
And just a little note... Sea Cucumbers are damn terrifying!
