Currently my IRL buddy and I are doing weekly drawing exercises in which we do warm-ups on drawing. My buddy decided that she wanted to do mouth and lip studies so that became the week's topic.

I chose to focus my studies on some lady mouths (sounds weird ) since I draw lots of girls. If I did DUDE mouths, I would have probably drawn a lot of angry gritting teeth.
Anyways, I drew some on my own while drawing others using references. I really think the mouth shows lots of expression which was why I found this study to be quite fun. It also doesn't help that it can be exaggerated in many ways to really show expression.

While doing these studies I also found one thing about mouths... Drawing BIG TEETH LINES tends to make mouths look goofy. Leave those minimal teeth lines in order to make things not as goofy.
