horses are by far the hardest creatures to draw i think. they're so elegant and its very hard to capture that elegance in a drawing... you did a pretty good job here. the muscle shading is really good. the head is absolutely marvelous... i think the legs and the body could use a bit of work, but you did do a great job over all... nice work

Horses.. difficult subject to draw. You made a great start on this one..
The head is marvellous, the shape is right on as is the shading. The only thing i miss is the second ear... rarely do the ears of a horse stand perfectly behind each other.
The mane looks good.. but maybe a bit too long towards the back.
The main body of the horse.. when you look at the part below the neck and before the first leg on the right it ends much lower than the part after the leg starts again. Also the curve in the first part suggests it can not go up as high as quickly as you've drawn after the leg. Also after the ribs usually the mainbody goes slender rapidly.. with you it's more gradual than i think it should be.
The legs are well formed, but could use a bit more muscle definition, aspecially towards the shoulder/hip.. they have a big influence on the body there and hence the muscles should be hinted at here.
The tail looks good.. nice variation in length!!
All in all a good piece, which needs just a bit of tinkering in my opinion!
