I know i shouldnt be doodling around right now, but i had to get this image out of my head. its been lingering at the tip of my mind past whole month, an i say, enough is enough. so here you go... fresh off the oven.. i finshed it about 5 minutes ago.less than 2 hours, PS7, wacom intuos.
Tetsuwan Atom... Astroboy was my childhood friend. i grew up feeling his emotions. and when Osamu Tezuka passed away, my heart was broken, and i learned what lose for man kind meant.
Astro Boy is turning 30 years old next year! oh god he is way older than me.
if, astro boy ever become an updated new comic... i'm the guy. i must do it. no one else will be able to pull essense of astroboy, but me. im the only one who can do it. i bet my life on it. if someone else do astroboy remake... i must send my entire assassin army to them. its inevitable.

I'd only ever seen Astroboy from the tv show when I was three and four, so I never got a REAL sense of what he was about except that he was strong, courageous and very helpful. I didn't know much about him, but I did love him.
Now they have made a new show and I've done a small amount of research (accidentally actually) that let me learn a little about the original story. There are indeed differences from the original manga and the new tv show storyline, Astroboy is still a robot, he wants peace for all, and he still has as much of a heart as any person.
That's all you could ask of him isn't it? Astroboy's legacy continues on, but I'm no scholar on the subject, you should see if the series does him justice if you can.

my endeavor of loving atom= astroboy is simply based on my childhood memories too.
one thing i learned recently is that what astroboy means to japan. and why this particular character is more than just a comic, cartoon character. if you begin to believe, a character, such as astro boy, can change the entire course of a nation.
and.... i am not joking.astroboy is one of those great accomplishment.

I was just looking at Sony's new Qrio robot (IT'S FRICKIN' AMAZING! ...sorry, hehehe), began talking to a friend about Japan's Atom project, which is named after of course, Atom, which is a goverment project to help the progress on the first AI robot child... then I see this an hour later!
