Hello people.this one is from the archive 2003
this particular package was done for a part portfolio for San Diego comicon 2003, which included Spiderman: 5 Deadly second [link]
it was simple pencil sketces on sketch book on spare time with intention of translating some of the key players in Xmen universe, the way i feel comfortable. it does have strong manga/anime feel, but thats how i like it. not possible denying my roots. i know some of you might find the ANIME twist on these characters are not suitable for existing world of Xmen, but it was rather fun attempt to look at them differently, at least.
some of them were painted using PS, however most of them are as raw as it comes in my pencil and paper chemistry.----- mainly .5 mechanical pencils on bristol board.
all credit for characters and entities related to X men universe, belongs to MARVEL.

Looks great! I love your designs. Particularly Storm, Gambit and Cyclops. Always great to see these characters drawn with a little more integrity than the constant barrage of voluptuous women and beefcake men Marvel usually gives us.

I think you do a great job blending the traits of an anime/manga style into the American style of these characters. While these sketches have a really distinct style, they're still wholy recognizable. You have a lot of talent.

Awesome costumes! Love Marrow and Magneto's designs especially (my fav character is Gambit). You mistyped Psylocke and Storm at the bottom, though it's no big deal.

That's a cool idea. I think the X-Men would translate pretty well to an anime style. I like all of your designs for the heros, especially Psylocke :d Well, except for your Logan/Wolverine... a little too primal for my liking ^^

As a long time X-men fan and aspiring comic artist, I find these more than 'interesting' - I love these sketches. I've often thought the main X-characters needed a bit of a re-vamp, these would work wonderfully.
