i came across this confidential book called "how to build giant robot for dummies" and i realized i need to make 12 millon dollors real quick.i must convert my garage to a giant robot construction facility.
revisiting my good old, clean lineart/ neo cell-shanding technique
using PS7, PSCS. mainly optic mouse on rendering, wacom tablet on compositing.
for those who are technical and stuck inside the box.. and will most likely question, "hey where the hell is light-source by the fat dude's sandal....?" check hoon's scraps.

I realize that this has been posted for a while, but I just found it, so I'm commenting anyway.
Just wanted to say that I really like this piece (especially the dog and the giant wrench) and that when you get your giant robot factory up and running, you should let me know, I may have an order for you. I'll have to speak to my superiors in the organization. We'll keep in touch.

i have to put in my two cent in this one, i just really love the work you did for this picture. the amount of detail and designing on the characters are very well done. Did you work on the Character line art and the Bg at the same time or apart?

See, the problem with your art is that I can never think of a more intelligent comment than "holy @#$%!" or something perhaps less coherent than that even. but it's a little hard to say what this fat guy with the sandales has to do in a robot construction facility, it's not the person I would expect there

in this drawing, I prefere the BG, the robots and everything technical to the characters themselves.. yet the colouration on the girl is pretty cool too.. but really.. lovely perspective.. lovely mechanical designs

the shading on the figures is so awesome. Something about it though doesnt look right, I think its just that the shading is so good that the lines kinda detract from it. Or maybe I just dont know what the hell Im talking about.
