So ever since I heard "Many Moons" by Janelle Monae, I've been stalking her work around the internet like a freak. She's my favorite artist and I can't wait for Suites II and III to be released. She came down to San Francisco but unfortuneately I was 10 month below the pre-requiste. Gwa gwa gwa... And I can't wait to hear her new tune "Tightrope" everyone's been buzzing about but no one managed to actually catch it on film anywhere. Once again, gwa gwa gwa... but I digress.

Prisma markers... like 3 hours... used her booklet on the inside of the album to draw the city of Metropolis.

If you don't know, its a conceptual album about an android by the name of Cindi Mayweather that is marked for disassembly by the Droid Control because she's fallen in love with a human. Inspired by the 1927 Fritz Lang silent film, the whole album is chalk full of dystopian themes that mirror our social climate......and its funky. And she has a pampadour...and claims to be a time-traveller. And she's from KANSAS!!! Agh, I must stop. I'm honestly a Monae cheerleader. BUT CHECK OUT THE ALBUM.
