Description
This is a gryphon I finished about a week ago. The picture was way too large to fit in my scanner so I had to take a picture of it without flash so it wouldn't wash it out.I love drawing feathers!

It's not a complete shed, he just drops about a third of his main feathers. His main plumes (on the back of his head and the three on his tail) are much more permanent fixtures; they'll shed occasionally, usually through stress or hunger, but otherwise they're nearly always there.

Ah well, I'll take the shed ones then XD. My dragon sheds in the spring similar to how a long haired dog sheds. It doesn't come off in clumps like a horse's would. Her mane is also much shorter in the summer and her coat is darker. She even gets stripes behind her shoulder blades if she sleeks down enough.
