No, I won't kill'em, no way! Heavy artillery is my Canon and the tricky Nikon Mirror 500C f/8 catadioptric lens with an extension ring. The not too short story is already covered here Long-tailed Tits so I won't repeat that. He is an European Tree Sparrow (Paser montanus), btw—they are less and less common unfortunately. When I was a kid they were ubiquitous (except in the downtowns where another species of sparrows, namely the House Sparrow (Paser domesticus) took their niché) and everybody thought that there is no trouble that could lessen their number. For today, the population is about 5% of the 60's population and their decline is more than 30% in 10 years (according to the Wikipedia ).
