Stella (Stainlkitty) is a professional cosplayer who has recently been specializing in sci-fi. Her skills in building costumes from movies and games with few resources, and mainly her performances in acting as the characters she is cosplaying as.

This message arrived a few days after being invited to a project by an embedded technology company to bring to life her own character. The marketing department believes that one way to promote their exoskeletons is through the entertainment industry. A second aspect of the costumes is the embedded AI systems, which promise to facilitate and assist defined use.

Stella and other cosplayers were at Horizons Motion Systems headquarters about a week ago. Technicians presented the facilities and gave a presentation on the project. They then underwent technical procedures.

Now, the day of the costume test has arrived, and Stainlkitty is extremely excited.

With a click, all ambient sound transformed. Initially, silence, which was broken by a low-volume noise... until she heard the technician, speaking very muffled, as if it were a ham radio or a bad telephone connection.
"It's all kind of muffled and low definition, it's like... as if you were receiving these audio signals through a sensor?"
"Exactly! So is that okay?"
"Yes, that's right. We'll come back later, I'm going to activate another device now, the visual one. It will take about 30 seconds to be ready, okay?"
With a click, everything darkened. The visor is a state-of-the-art HUD device. Soon, a "TEST" phrase appeared, and over time, some letters emerged, and finally, the vision was unlocked, but totally reinvented. The tones are grayer and cooler, with some elements in higher resolution. The edges of the vision are blurred, as if they were photographic lenses.

"Now... but... my voice?" The vocal processor was activated, and now Stainlkitty's voice sounded mechanical and metallic to her ears and, thanks to the speakers in the costume, to everyone.
"Great. Now one last thing. You'll walk to this point and then return to the starting point, okay?"
"Affirmative, executing..." Already getting into character, she responded.
As she took the first step, the predictive movement system automatically activated, and what was a simple walk turned into a robotic march, with broken movements, small bodily jerks. When she reached the point and returned, the costume put her in a waiting position totally inspired by sci-fi robots.
"Okay, deactivating everything. I'll give you a break, and then we'll do the first immersion; we'll record everything to show you later, okay?"

At one moment, the host, after a brief explanation, commands the activation of CyberStain. She, who for a few minutes had been standing, with her vision and hearing locked, was fully immersed in her character. The "activation of CyberStain" followed the same sequence as the tests. First the audio, 10 seconds later text on the visor and consequently, vision released. A slight vibration in the suit signaled that it had been unlocked for movement. Simultaneously, instructions appeared on the visor.
"HEAD UP, PAN RIGHT, CENTER HEAD" She consciously obeyed. Her neck moved first with a slight jolt, as if it had been unlocked, turned her head to the right, and returned to center. Immediately, a track on the floor appeared "WALK". Just thinking was enough, and her legs began to move, certainly with stiff and mechanized movements. The predictive AI is the best calibrated of the suit. When commanded to stop, she waited for her suit to connect to the stage's sound system.
