This is gorgeous. Your use of perspective and depth really help capture that illusion of motion and place in this one.Β

I agree with seven-of-none.
Especially when you decide to go with an appaloosa because the shading can be so tricky to do since there's no real pattern to it. Β You did a magnificent job and deserve the award. Β

Thank you!
The horse is in fact a dapple, though I really would like to try an appie at some point! Β It means a lot you like my work!

You are welcome! Β
And I waiting to see if anyone would correct me on that! Β I had realized it about a day later then contemplated correcting but decided against it for fear of looking awkward
Β
Drawing horses is one of the trickiest projects to take on so when I see it well executed, I make sure to appreciate

excellently drawn and not just the anatomy and the modelling, there's also feeling in it, which to be honest is the thing I tend to look out for, mostly. very well done!!

I really like the point of view it's drawn in. It gives it a more realistic feel, and yet it looks fantasy-ish in the way you drew it!

people just need to know the key before start a drawing: "avoid perfect frontal or profile drawings", and I know its difficult to draw in 3/4 or perspective and sometimes you realize about it only when you study fine arts. Here you show that you are able to do it, in spite of drawing from a photo, doesnt matter, this horse looks really powerfull and alive. You have great skills . Great drawing! I submitted very recently a drawing of a horse, You can see it in my profile if you want

Horses are so difficult to draw - you did an excellent job capturing the muscle play.

This is so amazing! I have always had great difficulty drawing horses, they seem so complex and hard! But in this drawing, you captured the horse's emotions and grace, and that is why I love this drawing so much.
