Personality:
| Ambitious | Wild | Optimistic | Sarcastic | Merciless | Cocky |
The thundurus gijinka is a normally a quiet man, preferring to observe his surrounding in the background than joining in the banter of the arguments around him. He constantly gave out a cold aura, causing people to stay away from him, well...some people. Legendaries are stubborn people after all. Raiden hardly speaks. However when he does, his word laces with sarcasm and snide remarks that one would understand why he prefers to keep his mouth shut.
Being optimistic by nature means that Raiden hardly gives up on his goal. Tell him that the chances of success are slim and he'll bark a laugh at you, calls you stupid, and do the job in his own way. He'll do anything to get what he wants even if it means using people as pawns and causing destruction along the way. I mean, what is the price of a few casualties against the goal for greater good, right? It is advisable not to disappoint Raiden. You wouldn't want to incur his wrath.
On the battlefield, Raiden becomes a different man. Usually high on adrenaline rush, Raiden would become this energetic and wild fighter, always seeking new worthy opponents on the battlefield. The lack of thereon of would usually result of him becoming quickly bored. When he's bored, he'd look for small fry to torture for fun. If he sees you as a weakling then you're an easy target. Don't worry; your death will be quick. He'd never torture those he sees as ally. He cares for them but will hardly show it.
Raiden is usually seen with a permanent frown on his face. He's not easily provoked unless you know what button to push. Though Raiden respect those of position with power, it doesn't mean you have his upmost loyalty. To obtain them, one would have to prove their worth.
History:
When he was young, still in his rebellious stage, Raiden was known to be a troublemaker. He'll look for fights just for fun, high on adrenaline and all. Wherever fights ensued, destruction followed. Words about his wild rampage spread throughout the land. It didn't help that Tornadus would joined in the rampage. Eventually things got our of hand and the older Landorus intervened to stop the destructive duo. Young and cocky, Raiden's ego got out of hand and he was easily defeated. The defeat calmed Raiden rampage and changed him for the better but it didn't cure the citizen's distrust in him.
When Arceus fell and become the virus, Raiden helped the gijinka fled the capital. Despite his destruction streak, Raiden is loyal to those of position of power. Arceus downfall was something he can't turn a blind eye on. Somehow he ends up following the refugee that would soon make up the population of Arcabaleno. Alot of fights broke out in the small dome, one wanting to go back to capital and save Arceus, one wanting to stay and fight for resources and the other just caring for nothing at all. There were alot of bickering and arguing.
The burden from the guilt of unable to do anything to save Arceus, made worst by the constant bickering among the Arcabalenonian, stressed the young Raiden. He tried to get them to work together but with his history of a troublemaker, the citizens ignored him completely. It didn't take long for them to divide the community to those of wealthy and poor. Even then, they were still fighting -but all for the wrong reason. Eventually, Raiden had enough. The gijinkas had abandoned him and so he will do the same.
Taking his grudge with him, the thundurus gijinka fled to the sky, where he curled in the violent storm clouds - created for his protection - and slept. He didn't care anymore and hopes that when he wakes up, everything would've end.
A century passed. The thundurus usually slept without dreams but one night he dreamt of Arceus. The dream woke him up. He didn't know what the dream meant or why he had dream of the god. Unsure of what to do, the male lingered in the sky for a few weeks longer before boredom finally took its toll. He then decided to return to Arcabaleno, only to find out that nothing has changed.
The dome is still divided to factions, a leader is dead (with no contribution from his part, sadly), and Arceus is still a mess of virus data. Raiden figured the Arcabalenonian hasn't learned their lesson. Seeing the possibility of entertainment in this conflict of the dome, Raiden decided to stay this time for good. Raiden was always a man attracted to power. And so he choose to side with Diavolo, figuring that the faction would probably give him the most sources and channel for his new found entertainment. His dream of uniting the faction was long lost to time.
Additional Information: He likes power and respect those with power. He however dislikes those who abuse their power.
Raiden can't stand Landorus due to their species’ relationship. Myth always says that the gijinka is the master of the other two Thundurus and Thornadus. Raiden is determined to prove otherwise.
Raiden's hair and steams move with a mind of their own. Even if there's no wind, it will always sway.
The air around him reflects his mood. When he's angry, the air pressure drop and you can smell the scent of water. If you listen hard enough you'll hear the crackling of thunder around him. When he want to be alone, the air around him will become cold, telling you to fuck off.
