Can you tell I like Portal yet? You can't? Here, let me try a bit harder.

Jumped on the bandwagon of "humanized cores". Androids, actually. But anyway. Portal things. Yes. Good. Excellent.
I actually went through a couple of designs for Wheatley before I settled on one I liked and projected that design onto the other cores. You can see that he used to have a tie before I scraped that and moved the Aperture logo to his chest so you could clearly see the "third optic" on his front.
I didn't give that "third optic" to GLaDOS because one, it looked weird and two, since she's in control of the entire facility, she doesn't need it. Wheatley uses it as a light and as a communicator with devices he can't directly hook up to.

Moving on, there's a Space Core with a toy rocket ship and Wheatley on his tiny, slightly uncomfortable Official Management Rail Chair. And then climbing down from said tiny chair to fall on top of Chell.
The cord at the back of his neck is retractable but he doesn't like people watching him access systems and hack things, it makes him nervous and he can't do it (not that he does it right half the time anyway). 'Course, Chell's just trying to figure out where it collapses into because what the heck.
Um, Wheatley was dirty so Chell cleaned him off? I dunno.And then they went into sleep mode together and it was adorable. Until Wheatley got crushed by GLaDOS and had to get himself put back together again.

I like the idea that when Wheatley took over the facility, the whites of his eyes became black like GLaDOS' because it just makes him look all the more corrupted and, I dunno, evil.
Also, GLaDOS had way more connector ports so when Wheatley got plugged in, there were multiple wires shoved into one port. I imagine this was very painful and highly uncomfortable. And also slightly system damaging. The main facility chair is collapsible, by the way. So you can look evil lounging about and standing up without a daft, massive chair behind you.

….there are probably too many triangles in those logos.
