Our little Gaulish dognot so small here but else it's impossible to see the details
I searched about on Google for Idefix (Dogmatix) and found this picture - I couldn't resist. XD
Sometimes I believe that he's more clever than Obelix and finds the things Obelix does silly or plain stupid now and then.

But I never knew the dog was called Idefix, I've only heard him called Dogmatix :S

In French, Italian, German and Danish as well etc. he's called Idefix or Idéfix (french) and is apparently only called Dogmatix in the english books.
Cacofonix as an example is much more varied... Danish: Trubadurix (as in troubadour)and German something similar too: Troubadix, French: Assurancetourix and so forth.
I don't know if I'll continue with the Danish or French version from now on.... We'll have to see.
