Description
I tried to combine two symbols of Spanish language here . I didn't like it. Spanish tricolor red-yellow-red is relatively young flag (even in 20th century Spain used different flag ). On the other hand, the "Flag of Hispanicity" is bound to the Americas because of three crosses. Three ships of Columbus have nothing to do with with Spanish spoken in Andalusia, Equatorial Guinea or the Philippines. I had to find another Hispanophone pan-symbol. And I found it in Cross of Burgundy. It alone could be flag of Hispanicity (in Puerto Rico it indeed is), but I combined it with Sol de Mayo , because sun is important Hispanic symbol too. A square in Madrid has name "Gate of Sun" and "sun never sets in Spanish-speaking world", although it is no more single empire.
