Description
What started as protests in Egypt calling for a true democratic government has now become a revolution nicknamed the "Youths Revolution" as the whole thing was first organized on a facebook page. This photo and the rest in the series were taken on February 8th at Tahrir Square in Cairo where the main protests are happening. The atmosphere there has become festive and at first glance you wouldn't be able to tell that it's the same where over 200 people had dies just a few days earlier. However as I walked among the crowds I would notice people with stab wounds and bandages and scarred faces. The morale however couldn't be higher and it doesn't look like anyone is leaving before their goals are achieved.Related content

Hey Hossam, This picture is great! The Egyptian-American Rule of Law Association, a non-profit consisting of Egyptian-American professionals working with our Egyptian counterparts to reform the legal system in Egypt, would be honored to post the picture on our homepage if you would allow us to do so. The picture would not be used o sod in any way for profit; we just want to highlight the diversity in the people who made this Revolution a success.
