A few months back *InkyBrain asked me for all of the old artwork I had from her old DA account (as well as shit of her's I found on the Google) since it was no longer in her possession (this is how I earned my nickname "The Polite Creeper"). So I wound up packing SEVEN RAR FILES for her and sent them right over to her e-mail.

Then we were talking over AIM a few nights later and she had actually come across some old art of her's I didn't have and gladly sent them over. Amongst the images she sent was a traditionally coloured piece of Vistyne summoning a mini black dragon, which was wrapped around her arm/hand. Vistyne also seemed to be missing bottoms in the piece. When I saw this image, I thought "Okay, I'm so drawing this" and so it was done sometime last semester...but due to classes I didn't have much time to work on well...much of anything arty until Xmass Break, at which I THOUGHT I had finally finished this damned thing. Then as I grew more comfortable colouring in Paint Tool Sai, I felt this piece needed to be touched up a bit since I seem to be gravitating towards more painterly type effects in my art...and blurred lines...and grungy shit...

But anyway, here's a new image of Vistyne (this piece being the fourth image of her I've rendered since I acquired rights to her design and six pieces I've drawn of her in total not counting rough sketches) in the process of summoning her Dracolich Malvero. Don't worry, he actually grows into a giant nasty ass undead dragon that behaves like a Honey Badger: Malvero don't care; Malvero don't give a shit. He just takes what he wants! Ain't he cute?!

And Vistyne has bottoms!

Anyway, also featured here are close-ups of some of *InkyBrain 's old art (featured with her permission of course) via filmstrips. With this piece, I wanted to show an evolution of sorts; how the torch was passed from Soda onto me in hopes that I could fix her up a bit. This piece should also be seen as a look into what I have in mind for her. Sorry, kiddies. But this is the closest you'll ever see to the old artwork EVER since I promised Soda I wouldn't re-post...hence why I'm redrawing some of the older "Classic" images.

She's not a sexy succubus anymore and despite her little outfit, she's far from a whore. Any man coming near her with ill intent (save for ONE) will most likely get a swift punch to the sour dough region. Vistyne is for the most part a cold, hardened anti-hero; a "Chosen One" of sorts who doesn't want shit to do with her destiny only then she finds herself thrown into the ongoing Post-Apocalyptic war taking place on the world that counters her own. And then on top of everything else, she finds herself attracted to the her rival...the Pretender of the Reaper's Mantle. It...kind of sucks to be her.

I put Vistyne through the Universal Mary Sue Litmus Test and she's a nice 22 now, where I think she was a 49 before. YAY!
