Actually got some work done on Meanstreak today! I got almost all of the chrome on. I have that bottom chrome piece for the windshield left to do and all the chrome around the back window. The front bumper is on, just not in this pic. Rear bumper guards and the new window felts and that's done. Slip in the headlights, finish the wiring, and put the interior in and it's done! I hoped to get more polishing done before this point, but I had help since we have to put the bumpers on (Easier to avoid scratching the paint) and we got carried away. I still have all the interior to do, yet. Carpet, door panels (which I hope arent too bad. I have NEW ones, but in storage they had oil leaked all over them.) the seats are almost done, and gotta repair the headliner and get the dome light lens. Still, it's coming nicely! Yeah, and the old new... or... new old... well the old carburetor REALLY likes that engine. But I know nothing about how to tune it (I know the very basics, but this thing has two power valves. How do I decide the size of the second one.

It's unlikely, but possible! The assembly is a snap, the getting to run right part not so much. BUT... there is HOPE! We have a very special carburetor that he really used to like. Mebbe if we give it back he'll be happy again! So I'm looking into getting a small hot plate and plan to boil the carb in cream of tarter mix... sounds silly I know but it's how we clean all our metals in my deli.

Oh yeah, one day I plan to go to fuel injection if he lets me. He's stubborn, if he doesn't like something he wont let me do it. DID have a nice little "Exhaust Soundoff" with a neighbor, he has some really hot cars. Mebbe one day he'll help me tune...

Gotta get the turn signals working, in the meantime after I get some sleep and can walk i a straight line I'll focus on carpet and door panels, getting the exterior lights finished and so on. I can't do the front turn signals because the front turn signals wont work without the mechanism in the column functioning. I put the parts on order. I pray they get her quickly!
